(VIDEO) Rybak Asks Obama for Tornado Damage Help

The Minneapolis mayor also met with U.S. Sen. Al Franken.

Minneapolis Mayor RT Rybak traveled to Washington D.C. to urge President Barack Obama to revive the state's request for individual tornado damage assistance Monday.

After the White House meeting, the Minneapolis mayor and Minneapolis City Council Member President Barbara Johnson met with U.S. Sen. Al Franken (D-Minn., who reiterated his commitment to do whatever he can to help with the recovery process.

The May 22 tornado caused millions of dollars in damage in North Minneapolis, resulting in the death of two Minnesotans. by FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency) last week.
