POLL: What Are You Giving Up for Lent?

Ash Wednesday starts a commitment of sacrifice by many Christians.

If you observe Ash Wednesday, you also have likely begun the fasting or chosen another personal sacrifice during Lent—a period of personal pentinence.

Many faiths call for periods of fasting and other personal sacrifice, though even the most devout might vary in their observance of such commitment.

Patch wants to know—how are observant are you in the personal callings of sacrifice connected to religious beliefs? Take the poll below and tell us more about your experiences in the comments section.

Option 4 - my religion doesn't do the "giving" up as part of it's foundations.

Option 5: I don't believe in any religion, so I'm not compelled to put anything on my head.

I've made sacrifices as part of a spiritual, moral, ethical, integrated life (and found it to be a meaningful experience),but not as part of "religion" or for "personal penitence"
