Moon Glyph: Twin Cities Tape Label

Our weekly local music recommendations come from Jake and Lisa Luck of Yeti Records on Nicollet Avenue.

One of the Twin Cities premier tape labels, Moon Glyph gained national attention after releasing a prolific compilation of local bands titled Regolith. Since then, the Moon Glyph catalog has exploded. The label now features releases by Food Pyramid, Camden, Ghost Band and others.

Moon Glyph is a cross-section of the Twin Cities rich psychedelic, drone, synth and avant-garde scenes.  And the tapes are cheap, which is great for both connoisseurs and Twin Cities newbies interested in discovering what's happening.

And as Moon Glyph grows, so does its diversity. Their past two releases include former Lungfish frontman and now all around weirdo Danial Higgs and Chicago-based new agers Deep Earth.
