How You Could Have Beaten Monday Morning's 35W Traffic Jam

A stalled vehicle made for an hour-long backup.

This morning, Southwest Minneapolis residents awoke to a gentle blanket of snow—and the harsh realities of a winter traffic jam.

According to the Minnesota Department of Transportation's website, a bus had stalled near the intersection of Interstates 35W and 94 shortly after 8 a.m., causing the northbound lanes of 35W to back up all the way to the Crosstown Highway. The traffic jam lasted until a little after 9 a.m.
