Get Out: Northfield's Many Pleasures

The town is 40 minutes south of Minneapolis

Northfield, Minn. – This picturesque college town is just about 45 minutes from the Twin Cities and is full of history, activities and scenic beauty. Built along the Cannon River, it is the home to Carleton and St. Olaf Colleges and the site of the Jesse James Gang robbery of the First National Bank of Northfield in September 1876.
