What To Do With All That Produce?

Find out what's available at Southwest Minneapolis' three markets this weekend!

With the arrival of high summer, sometimes the large amount of local produce at Southwest Minneapolis' three farmers markets can be too much of a good thing—what do you do with all those vegetables?

With that in mind, the will be bringing in Tricia Cornell this Saturday morning to give you some guidance. Cornell is the author of Eat More Vegetables: Making The Most of Your Seasonal Produce. In addition, you'll be able to find the following vegetables:

  • Sweet corn
  • Sungold cherry tomatoes
  • Fresh onions and fresh garlic
  • 3-variety Radishes (the last until the fall)
  • La Ratte Fingerling Potatoes
  • Microgreens
  • Summer squash
  • Salad mix
  • Beets
  • Broccoli, chard, cauliflower, and kale
  • Green beans
  • Basil and parsley
  • Cucumbers
  • Speckled Roman tomatoes

At the on Sunday, grab lunch from Foxy Falafel, Chef Shack, or Gai Gai Thai. For veg, you'll find:
