Star-Tribune Finally Discovers Local Secret

Patisserie 46 gets rave reviews.

Thursday, the Star-Tribune ran a glowing review of Kingfield's Patisserie 46. 

"There are three certainties in this life: death, taxes and the long line at Patisserie 46," the piece opens, and the praise gets better from there.

It only took them two and a half years.

Southwest Minneapolis residents—particularly those in Kingfield and Tangletown—have long been smitten with Chef John Kraus' magnificent bakery-cafe, filling it to overflowing since it opened in mid-2010. Since then, Kraus and his staff have gone from success to success, dramatically expanding business as their popularity spread far and wide.

Though known for his gibassiers and baguettes, among other things, Kraus even finds time to cook full meals. This month, he's creating a 13-course "ExtravaganTea Party" for a select number of guests.
