(PHOTOS) Young Artists Beautify Local Alley with Community Mural

The Aldrich Arts Collaborative's Summer Mural Program creates a colorful work of public art at 36th and Bryant.

Passers-by near the busy intersection at 36th and Bryant will now get an eyeful, as kids and staff from the Aldrich Arts Collaborative paint a colorful community-centric mural on the outside wall of Glenn's Barbershop. Once completed, the group celebrated with a Mural Celebration and Street Fair on Saturday, July 30, 2011. The design of the painting is a synthesis of ideas from both Carag community members and the child artists themselves, with guidance from muralist Gustavo Lira and artist Megan Patry.
