The Bakken Museum Celebrates Ben Franklin's 306th Birthday!

Ben Franklin is turning 306 years old and The Bakken is throwing him a party! On Saturday, January 14, 2011, starting at 10 a.m., you can meet Ben and ask him about his electricity experiments and even try some out yourself. This includes making bells ring, bears dance and generating lightning all while learning about how electricity works. You can even use electricity to make you hair stand straight up and have your photo taken by a professional.

Event Schedule:

10:00am-4:00pm – Learn about the exciting and varied life of Ben Franklin and create static magic at The Bakken’s Ben Franklin Discovery Table.

10:00am-4:00pm – Check out the new and improved Electricity Party Room for an electrifying experience!

1:30pm-2:30pm – Benjamin Franklin performs his infamously shocking static show in the Great Hall.

2:00pm-4:00pm – Make your way to the Galvani Classroom for a Hair Raising Photograph.

2:30pm-3:30pm – Meet Benjamin Franklin as he roams the galleries of The Bakken. Shake his hand and ask him questions about what life was like back in the 1700s!
