"Partners in Peace" Armistice Day Commemoration

 Event description:

Friday, November 11, 2011 from 6:00-10:00 p.m. join us for our annual celebration of Armistice Day! Veterans, family, friends and interested parties are invited. We’ll be in Brit’s Pub’s Clubhouse Lounge – the beautiful wood paneled room on the top level that overlooks Peavy Plaza. There will be a number of speeches from local dignataries as well as bagpipers, national anthems, a color guard, poems and bell ringing.

No admission charge for this event. Food and beverage may be ordered from the Brit's Pub menu, and specials to be offered. Join us to commemorate the Peace achieved by Allied Nations with the 1918 signing of the Armistice that ended WWI. Program to include a preview song from the upcoming Minnesota Opera's world premiere of "Silent Night," based on a true story of Christmas Eve 1914, when soldiers united in song and ceased their firing.
