Celebrate the community on 38th Street with music, dance, food, fun and more neighborly fun.

The schedule of events will go as follows;

11 a.m. - 1 p.m.: Free hot dogs, games by Nicollet Ace Hardware at 38th & Nicollet

11 a.m. - 1 p.m.: Free temporary tattoos & face painting by Elements of Creativity at 38th & Nicollet

11 a.m. - 1 p.m.: Free cookies by the Aliveness Project at 38th & Nicollet

11 a.m - 1 p.m: Free lemonade, $1 chili & cornbread, kiddie duck pond by Blackbird at 38th & Nicollet with the proceeds going to charity.

11 a.m. - 1 p.m.: Feather extensions, first feather free, by BANGbang at 38th & Nicollet

11 - 1 p.m.: $1 Tacos by Cocina Latina at 38th & Nicollet

11 - 3 p.m.: Special deals on haircuts ($10), pedicures ($20) & manicures ($12) by Lupita's Hair & Nail Salon at 38th & Nicollet

Noon: PARADE! at 38th & Nicollet

1 pm Free Sebastian Joe's Nicollet Pothole ice cream provided & scooped by Lander Group at 38th & Nicollet

1 - 2 p.m. Music, dance and interactive performances by Center for Performing Arts at 38th & Grand

Raffle of $50 candy jar, 10% discount if you say "38th Rocks!" by Sugar Sugar at 38th & Grand

Grand opening celebration all day by Digs at 38th & Grand-continuing until 9 p.m.

1 - 4 p.m. Flea Market at 38th & Grand

1 - 3 p.m. Interactive clay art making by Claymate Creations at 38th & Grand

1 - 3 p.m. Free face painting at 38th & Grand

2:30 - 4:30 p.m. Brazilian drumming group Batucada do Norte by Victor 1959 Cafe at 38th & Grand. Drinks on the patio, cash only, $3 beer, $4 wine, $1 soda
