Southwest Minneapolis looks set to become Southwet Minneapolis

Wednesday afternoon, the National Weather Service issued a flash flood watch for the Twin Cities and much of southwestern Minnesota. A chain of rainstorms are forecast to stall over the region, dumping as much as two inches of rain in some places.

"Showers and thunderstorms will continue to expand today. Widespread rain is expected tonight with a swath of heavy rain across Minnesota. Looking ahead, a frontal boundary will stall out across the area, which will allow the active weather to continue across the region through the weekend."
