Due to changes in the roadway grade, some locations will require placement of new sidewalk and additional grading behind the sidewalk. These areas will be restored with sod once the grading is complete. If it is necessary to grade beyond the property line the City will be seeking temporary construction easements from the impacted property owners.

Getting Across Penn Ave.

Expect intermittent, one day closures on 55th, 56th, 57th, 58th, 59th, 60th and 61st Streets for paving this weekend and next week.

Sprinkler Systems, Boulevard Gardens or Hardscape in Public Right of Way

Residents should remove any irrigation systems, landscaping stones or bricks, and salvage special plantings located on City of Minneapolis right of way.

Concrete Cure Time

The city will open new driveway approach panels once they have obtained sufficient break strengths for new concrete.

Trash and Recycling

No changes will be made to the pick-up locations of garbage and recycling collected by the City of Minneapolis. Businesses that have private vendors collect their trash should advise their vendor of the upcoming construction.

Traffic

The City of Minneapolis is continuing to work hard to address the issues that come with cut through traffic.
