Park Board Surveying Public On Dog Parks

Final meeting on the issue set for July 25.

The long saga of public input on the Sixth District off-leash dog park is coming to a close on Monday, July 25. However, Park Board officials are still collecting comments from city residents via an online survey.

After a long search process looking at sties from Minnehaha Creek north to West 36th Street and from I-35W, the Citizens's Advisory Committee has narrowed the contenders to down to three:

  • Lyndale Farmstead Park, Kings Highway and West 39th Street
  • Lyndale Farmstead Park, Southside Operations Center lower parking lot
  • Minnehaha Creek east of Pleasant Avenue

Maps of the sites and the online survey can be found on the Park Board website, and paper surveys are available by calling 612-230-6400.
