Linden Hills Athletic Courts to Reopen Saturday

There will be a ribbon cutting ceremony at 9:30 a.m. May 18.

Editor's Note: The following is a Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board press release.

Come one, come all—the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board (MPRB), with Commissioners Brad Bourn and Bob Fine, invite the Linden Hills neighborhood to the Grand Opening of the Linden Hills Athletic Courts. The event will take place at Linden Hills Park, 3100 43rd Street West, Minneapolis. In addition to a ribbon-cutting ceremony, the event will include on-court games and clinics led by USTA and ‘LOVE at Linden Hills’ volunteers. See official invitation

“Thanks to a dedicated community effort, these courts have been revitalized with new fencing, net posts and basketball hoops, and full court replacement on all tennis and basketball courts,” says MPRB Commissioner Brad Bourn. Commissioner Bob Fine adds, “Improvements were made possible through the neighborhood fundraising committee ‘LOVE at Linden Hills’; and the support of Hennepin County Commissioners and Hennepin County Youth Sports Program capital grants; as well as the Linden Hills Neighborhood Council; and USTA local and national chapters.”
