Fall is a great time to start composting since there are plenty of dry leaves available to keep your compost balanced.

During a Minneapolis Park and Recreation class on Tuesday, Oct. 8, you will learn what materials are compostable, the types of containers you can use and what you can do with the finished compost.

Class will be held at JD Rivers’ Children’s Garden, weather permitting. If it’s raining, classes will be at the picnic pavilion up the hill on the other side of Glenwood Ave to the west of the garden.
