Lake Calhoun Bikeway to Close This Fall

Construction also taking place at other places around the Chain of Lakes.

Southwest Minneapolis cyclists should start plotting out alternate routes—The Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board is planning to close several bike paths around the Chain of Lakes next month.

Between Sept. 3 and Dec. 1, small sections of the trail around Lake Calhoun will be closed for repair and rebuilding. Construction will last around a week, the Park Board website says, but exact times have not yet been determined.

Other trails, including Dean Parkway, will be closed periodically between Sept. 3 and Oct. 31. More information can be found on the Park Board website.
