Biking in the Streets, Food Trucks and Fun: Open Streets on Lyndale Avenue

Locals kicked off summer proper Sunday afternoon.

Despite raging storms that left thousands with no power in Southwest Minneapolis, Sunday's Open Streets went off without a hitch.

Lyndale Avenue was closed to through traffic between 22nd and 42nd streets. The break from the sound of cars zooming past brought bikers, walkers and strollers into the streets for some music, food and good conversation.
