Joyce Uptown Food Shelf to host open house May 3

To help visualize what it takes to serve its hungry neighbors, the Joyce Uptown Food Shelf will host an open house from 3:00 – 6:00 p.m., Saturday, May 3 at 3041 Fremont Avenue South in Minneapolis.

In August of 2013, the food shelf incorporated with its own 501c3 status separate from Joyce Church, which closed in December of 2012.

“We want to reach out to our donors and community to let them know we are still here and will continue to serve the hungry in our community,” says Becky Spence, director of the Joyce Uptown Food Shelf.
