Planned East Harriet Eatery May Use Valet Parking, Not Lot

The Crooked Pint is proposing a building to replace the abandoned gas station at 40th and Lyndale.

The long-awaited formal proposal for The Crooked Pint's Lyndale Ave expansion has been submitted, and does not include plans for a parking lot.

According to a post on the Kingfield Neighborhood Association's website, and a similarly-worded Facebook post by Ward 8 City Council Member Elizabeth Glidden, owners of the former BP gas station at 40th and Lyndale have submitted a proposed design to city regulators for review.

The plan, the post says, is expected to be heard at the City Planning Commission on Aug. 26, and should be posted on the city website several days before the meeting.

In response to community criticisms, the restaurant will only hold 100 seats, with a 20-seat patio. According to Glidden's post, the development proposal also does not include a parking lot. The business is examining using valet parking and nearby parking lots, Glidden wrote.
