More About Beard's Plaisance
This very small park is situated across the street from Lake Harriet. It has tennis courts at the bottom of the hill, next to the paid parking lot. A picnic pavilion and old playground rest at the secluded top of the hill. The park serves as a layover for bikers and runners using the trail next to the lake.

There is a really cool Giant Snowman or Snowwoman in front of 2707 West 43rd Street, Linden Hills area, Minneapolis, Minnesota 55410 - just down the street from Tilia
The Snowman or Snowwoman is 6 feet high, 3 feet wide, with a smiling face and people of all ages in the neighborhood think it is wonderful and brings a little happiness into this world.

I went there today with my kids and they loved it and took pictures with it.
A woman who lives there said it is a community Snowperson for everyone. She said that everyone is welcome to decorate it any way they want, to feel free to add a hat, or hang balloons, Christmas ornaments, or whatever from the snowpersons arms that are branches from a tree. Or add a nose, or buttons, or use food coloring to make hair, clothes, whatever.
She is hoping everyone will have fun decorating the community snow person.
She hopes someone will contribute an old big hat for the big head of the snowperson.
