Young Nonprofit Professionals of the Twin Cities (YNPN-TC) is uniting nonprofit peers through their inaugural Scattershot Café: Networking in Your Neighborhood Event on Saturday, May 19, from 9:30-11:30 am. This event gives individuals the opportunity to network at eleven locations throughout Minneapolis and St. Paul. Each of the locations is assigned with a unique topic allowing for individuals to choose based on the location or topic.
Scattershot Café: Networking in Your Neighborhood is a free event open to young nonprofit professionals in the Twin Cities seeking information for professional development and looking to connect with their peers. This event offers a unique opportunity to network in your neighborhood with discussion groups of about ten people. Like almost all Dunn Bros Coffee franchise locations, the Linden Hills shop wedges a big coffee roaster into a corner of the room. Workers roast green beans a dark brown while nearby customers enjoy their drinks or study.The walls are decorated with the works of local artists, demonstrating the long-time business' strong connections with the local community. On nice days, the shop also draws from tourists, who wander over from Lake Harriet to enjoy the quiet atmosphere.
