BEGIN:VCALENDAR PRODID;X-RICAL-TZSOURCE=TZINFO:-//com.denhaven2/NONSGML ri_cal gem//EN CALSCALE:GREGORIAN VERSION:2.0 BEGIN:VEVENT DESCRIPTION:I am the landscape architect working on the newly proposed pr oject for the redevelopment of the Famous Dave's site. \; We are cur rently in the process of preparing plans for formal review with the city and the neighborhood very soon.\nAs a part of our preliminary design pr ocess we have met with the city planning staff\, council member Betsy Ho dges office and participated in a Committee of the Whole meeting. \; The general consensus from the preliminary review is to thoughtfully en gage the neighborhood in a discussion about the pocket park as it can re late to the \;newly proposed building.\nThe design team has worked v ery hard to develop a project that will conform with the zoning requirem ents\, incorporate comments from the previous process and protect the po cket park as it exists today. \; The project as designed can allow t he pocket park to remain as it exists today\, however the design team (p rimarily the architects from TEA2\, Momentum Design Group and myself) fe el strongly that the park can be further enhanced as an asset of the nei ghborhood\, given the opportunity afforded by the proposed development.& nbsp\; We also heard similar comments from those we have preliminarily r eviewed the project with.\nWe will be hosting a neighborhood meeting to talk about the Pocket Park and how it can relate to the proposed buildin g. Our goal is to get as much input from the neighborhood as we can befo re we submit the project for formal review.\nWe will be holding \;th e informational meeting and design charrette on \;Tuesday July 24th at 6pm and on Wednesday Aug 1st at 6pm at the Pocket Park. \; Our ho pe is that we can get some good feedback\, thoughtful discussion and inp ut from the neighborhood regarding the pocket park. \; We have a gre at opportunity to shape the park in a thoughtful way.\nPlease help us sp read the word to the neighborhood and to those that may be interested in participating.
