Simple Things in Auto Repair

Marina and I are excited to be blogging in Patch. We look forward to sharing our business stories with all of you.

An advocate comes in with what sounds like grinding brakes. After one of our ASC certified technicians inspects her car, he removes the rock stuck between the caliper and rotor and all is well. She's on her way in less than 15 minutes. Sometimes a simple inspection is all that is needed. Happy braking!!!

Great to see you up on the site Marina & Keith!

Keep in mind I'm the guy whose high school friends once suggested I need to change my "blinker fluid"—and I *almost* believed them. (I was young). But there's still a lot about cars I don't know.

Can't wait to learn more!

Keith & Marina: Two questions for you—wondering if you could answer them for me.

(1) Can you talk about washing your car in freezing temperatures? I know we want to wash the salt mixtures off our cars, but what about freezing locks, windows, etc? At what temperature do you turn off your car washes?

(2) Can you give some advice on tire tread, tire pressures, etc. in the colder, snowier months?
