Christmas Eve is upon us, which means that most of Minneapolis is about to start shutting down—just when you realize you forgot someting.

If you're trying to avoid making a big production of dinner tonight, to save energy for tomorrow, why not eat out? It's a good idea to call ahead, though—some places like Blackbird Cafe are closed today, but others are opening for limited hours. Here are a few examples of what's open today:

Grocery Stores

Cub Foods: Closes at 4 p.m.

Linden Hills Co-op: Open until 6 p.m.

Kowalski's: Closes at 4 p.m.

Whole Foods: Closes at 6 p.m.

City Offices and Trash Pickup

City offices will be open normal hours on Monday. 

Trash collection occurs as usual.

Parking meters will operate as normal.
