(VIDEO) DFL Lawmakers Respond to Gay Marriage Ban Passage

DFLers, including Sen. Scott Dibble (DFL-Minneapolis) said the Senate's approval of a constitutional amendment banning gay marriage would hurt, not help, families.

The Senate passed a proposal yesterday that would put a constitutional gay marriage ban in front of voters in 2012.

It's expected to pass the state House this week. Thirty-one states have already voted to put gay marriage bans into their constitutions. Dibble and his colleagues vowed to fight the amendment.
