Windom Burglar Raids Fridge, Leaves Everything Else
Police said the crime does not fit any established category of criminal behavior.
Southwest Minneapolis is no stranger to burglaries, but this one takes the the cake for "strangest."
The resident of a third floor apartment on the 6100 block of Nicollet Avenue left her home unlocked for a couple weeks starting on the last day of April.
When she returned to her apartment on May 15, she discovered that her window blinds had been ruffled and that someone had stolen, according to the police report, “an unknown amount of meat from the freezer.”
The report stated that the crime does not fit any criminal description.
Minneapolis police spokesman Sgt. Stephen McCarty said the department does not keep track of meat-related thefts and there are no suspects for the crime.
Perhaps Windom residents should be on the lookout for suspicious grilling activity?
