No architectural merit at all. Boring and looks downmarket. Start over.

I agree with the first comment, they look cold and un-inviting. To stark for this beautiful area, if anything, plant some grapevine on them to soften their look and feel!

The design is lifeless, hardly in keeping with the neighborhood, or even the commercial buildings across the street.

Would anyone really want to live right next to a fire department with sirens going off frequently. My husband and I live near this corner, and the sirens are loud!

Why does it have to look like the commercial buildings across the street? Does anyone really love the faux german villa look? People are never happy with new things. How about add some setbacks and patios on the top floor to remove the boxy look and get it built. This neighborhood and this city needs more neighbors if it is going to thrive.

Imagine sitting on that patio when the tornado siren goes off. It's physically painful a block away if you're outdoors. This design is just plain ugly and 4 stories is too big. Why do people who don't live in Tangletown think we should just happily accept every ugly and/or oversized development various non-resdents want to inflict on us? The concerns of the surrounding home owners should not just be ignored and steamrollered over.

Why not just start stacking storage containers? Come on. Are there any architects out there, that did not graduate from the rectangle box of architecture school?
