Pick Your Favorite Dish In SW Minneapolis' Restaurants
Charlie Awards celebrate best of local eateries.
What's your dish in Southwest Minneapolis?
The Coxinha & Octopus at Linden Hills' Harriet Brasserie? The Shades of the Season Salad at Tangletown's Wise Acre Eatery? The New York Pizza at Broders' Cucina Italiana?
This month, it's your chance to turn your love into some recognition for the chefs, servers, and dishwashers who help make that food a delicious reality. The Charlie Awards, one of the bigger local foodie accolades, is asking for the public's help in picking the best dish in the Twin Cities. The award, along with other Charlies recognizing excelent chefs, service, and many others, will be presented Nov. 11 at downtown Minneapolis' Pantages Theater.
The Southwest Minneapolis restaurants in the running are:
- Broders' Cucina Italiana
- Broders' Pasta Bar
- Cafe Ena
- Corner Table
- Butter Bakery Cafe
- Gigi's Cafe
- Harriet Brasserie
- Pat's Tap
- Tilia
- Wise Acre Eatery
To vote, go to the Charlie Awards' website, and pick your favorite. A panel of experts will also weigh in on the dishes before the Nov. 11 ceremony.

My wife and I each have the same favorite dish ... the King's Burger from King's Restaurant. Hopefully write-ins will be allowed!

Oooh. I've never had it, but I've seen people order that one. It looks good!
