Looking for Halloween costume ideas? What about fun Halloween events in the neighborhood? We've got what you need for Halloween 2012 in Minneapolis.
Costumes
With Halloween just around the corner many parents are probably still running around trying to find costumes for kids or for themselves.
Before you pick up costumes or costume supplies, you need ideas first. Check out these DIY suggestions that won't break the bank.
Once you know what you're going to be, you can certainly head out to Jo-Ann Fabrics or Target, but why not peek your nose in at a couple local businesses:
- The Salvation Army thrift store at 3740 Nicollet Ave South
- B-Squad Vintage at 3500 Nicollet Ave South. Unlike other Southwest Minneapolis vintage and thrift stores, B-Squad has combed through their collection of vintage clothes and other items that would make great costumes.
- Creative Kidstuff in Linden Hills is offering 50 percent off kids' costume items on Saturday, Oct. 27.
Once you've got your costume together, don't forget to snap a photo and submit it to Patch's costume contest for a chance to win $5,000!
