New Lynnhurst Restaurant To Open Thursday
The Lynn on Bryant was originally slated to open Monday.
Excitement over its latest restaurant is running high in Lynnhurst, but neighborhood residents walking by The Lynn on Bryant on Monday had to be content with just licking the windows.
In an email to Patch, owner/manager Jay Peterson said the restaurant was deciding to put off its planned Oct. 15 opening by a few days.
"The preview dinners have gone well, but we're battling some issues with equipment here and there that has limited our ability to train staff on certain items," Peterson wrote.
On Monday, Peterson told Patch that The Lynn is aiming to open on Thursday, Oct. 18.
Peterson and co-owner/chef Peter Ireland say they hope The Lynn will become a neighborhood gathering place all day long. Its split cafe/dining room layout is designed to encourage all types of "offline" interactions, the pair told Patch earlier this year, from commuters sipping espresso before heading in to work to families enjoying an inexpensive week night out, to couples relishing a romantic dinner.
The Lynn's full menu is now online on their website. Check it out—what are you most eager to try?

$14 for a hamburger? Don't think I'll be taking the family there any time soon.

Oh, but you haven't had that burger, Dave. Trust me, it's remarkable. Try it during the summer when wild black trumpet mushrooms are in season. I became aquainted with this and Peter's other masterpieces back during his Vermont days. Enjoy!
