2012 was a banner year for local restaurant patrons.

While there were some disappointments (Jack's), the news was mostly good. Six new eating establishments opened up in Southwest Minneapolis, and five more are planned to open at various points early next year.

With so much to chose from, though, it's hard to pick the best, so we want to hear your thoughts. Should it be:

• George and the Dragon (Lynnhurst)
• The Lynn on Bryant (Lynnhurst)
• Toppers (Windom)
• Harriet Brasserie (Linden Hills)
• Somos Peru (Windom)
• Jack's (East Harriet)

And while you're at it, which of the restaurants that closed this year will you miss the most? Pierre's Bistro? Cafe 28? Another?
