Linden Hills Dog Party Hits This Weekend
Thousands of dog lovers and their dogs are expected.
Hold on to your hats, Linden Hills, and lock the milk bones away—you're about to get invaded by around 3,500 dog lovers, and their dogs.
This Saturday, the Linden Hills Business Association is kicking off their eighth-annual Woofstock celebration. The event will take place 43rd Street between Upton Avenue South and Vincent Avenue South, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., and is free to all.
Dogs and their people will have an oportunity to stroll the business district at 43rd and Upton, taking advantage of discounts at neighborhood merchants and enjoying the Woofstock Love-In Exhibition, with 40+ booths full of Fido needs—from grooming, rescuing, and treats to clothing, walking, and boarding. Other events include live music, a children’s jumper, book reading withtherapy dogs, dog yoga, and a scavenger hunt. The day ends with the annual dog trick contests.
Woofstock 2012 is presented by Pampered Pooch Playground, Bubbly Paws Self-Service Dog Wash, SidewalkDog.com, and Minnesota Parent Magazine.
“We are thrilled to be hosting this event for an eighth year,” said Anne Schultz, owner of Linden Hills Florist and Linden Hills Business Association Co-Chair. “There is a decidedly dog-friendly spirit tour community and we love the way dogs add character to our neighborhood and make all of us better humans.”
