Jack's Building Sold

Building has been on the market since July.

After only a few months on the market, the former Java Jack's building has been sold.

According to a story in the Southwest Journal, the building's main tenant, the DevJam software company, has bought the entire building.

When Patch first reported the building was for sale, it was listed at $1.475 million.

DevJam owner David Hussman was a longtime Jack's regular, and told the Journal that operating his company out of the former dining area still feels "so weird."

As to the future, the Chef Shack food truck empire will still use the former Jack's kitchen as a prep space, and Hussman said he envisions a "community space" of some kind in the old dining room.

I can't blame Mr. Hussman for wanting his business in a lovely neighborhood setting, but it was a big blow to the neighborhood to loose their gathering spot. Is there room in the new business to open up a small coffee shop in the space again.?
