Come down to Linden Hills on Sat. Dec. 1 from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for Reindeer Day. Several shops around the corners of 43rd Street and Upton Avenue South and 44th Street and France Avenue South will be offering holiday deals and food tastings —for example, you'll find 20 percent off select merchandise at the Bibelot Shop. Children’s' craft activities will be available under Famous Dave's porch, and holiday shoppers who pop by I Heart Kids Art will be eligible for a kiss from a St. Bernard. Santa Claus and the festival's eponymous ruminants will also be on hand for photo ops.
Visitors to the Colorwheel Gallery's annual holiday bazaar are bound to find unique and interesting—and locally-made—art and gifts. Colorwheel owner Tammy Ortegon and 11 other artists will be exhibiting their work, including jewelry, on Dec. 1 and 2, from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Join Broder's Cucina Italiana for their annual festival showcasing "a grand selection" of their products, including cheeses, salumi, antipasti, chocolates, olive oil, and balsamic vinegars, plus many that have just arrived from Italy. Tickets to the event, which runs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 2 at Broder's Pasta Bar, are $20 per person.
On Saturday, Dec. 8, head down to 48th and Grand from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Artsy Digs and Pout will be open and shoppers will be able to enjoy complimentary chair massages, holiday creation stations for kids courtesy of Artrageous Adventures, hot cocoa, and seasonal treats.
