Does Hennepin County Need An Armored Vehicle?
Vehicle will help respond to chemical, nuclear, and biological attacks.
As we reported yesterday, the Hennepin County Board of Commissioners just approved the purchase of an armored car for the Sheriff's Department.
The CBRNE (Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear and Explosive) rescue and emergency response vehicle will be the only one of its kind in the Upper Midwest, and its $417,700 cost was paid for by the federal government.
Free, it may have been, but does the county really need to prepare for a terrorist attack using weapons of mass destruction? Sound off in our poll or in the comments section below.
