Best Patch Blogs of the Week
Each weekend, we'll feature a few of our favorite blogs of the week.
Without a doubt, the blog that generated the most conversation was written by Shir Tikvah Senior Rabbi Michael Adam Latz. It was titled Holy Hypocrisy on Gay Marriage," and detailed the contradictions in the personal lives of prominent folks who support the gay marriage ban.
Elissa Cottle, who previously blogged her trip to Washington D.C. as a citizen lobbyist, wrote an open letter to Republican Rep. Erik Paulsen on reproductive rights.
For a lighter piece, Jake Luck, co-owner of Yeti Records on Nicollet Avenue South wrote about Minneapolis' version of Johnny Cash, Sherwin Linton.

Thank you for naming my blog among the best this week. It really means a lot to me. And thank you to those who've posted responses to the blog. I was so touched to read the comment from the woman who works in social services and really knows about the tragedy of abused children. I so hope our government leaders come to all believe that along with our right to be free and speak freely, we should all stand morally for girls' and women's rights to say no to sex if we don't wish to have sex, and for women in loving relationships to have access to contraception if they wish to have sex. Lastly, as I said in the introduction before my first blog on May 15, if a child's pre-life soul could choose to be conceived when its parents were ready for him or her, I believe that soul would choose to wait to be conceived until the time is right.
