A 'Jealous Lover' Screaming Match and Cocaine Under the Floorboards

A roundup of traffic, domestic and narcotics-related violations committed in Southwest Minneapolis in the last week.

 

April 2

An 82-year-old man was arrested and booked after police responded to a domestic assault call at the 5400 block of Colfax Avenue.

Jerome Gorman, 73, is being investigated for a DWI after officers responded to a property damage accident report at the 4400 block of Nicollet Avenue.

April 1

After receiving a report of a possible drunk driver heading eastbound on Lake Street, police found Deatrick Lapointe passed out in the front seat of his running car behind his home on the 3700 block of Lyndale Avenue.

March 30

A Crystal, Minnesota, resident was cited for possession of marijuana and his 16-year-old friend was cited for curfew violation.

A New Hope resident was arrested for driving while intoxicated on the 6100 block of Xerxes Avenue.

March 29

A screaming match between a Minneapolis man and a “jealous lover” led to police being called and the impounding of a Cadillac that had no licensed drivers.

Three Southwest Minneapolis residents were arrested after police stopped them at the corner of 33rd Street and Hennepin Avenue and found cocaine and drug scales under the car’s right rear floorboard.

March 28

A Minneapolis resident was cited near 34th Street and Nicollet Avenue for not wearing a seatbelt and for having two children under eight years old who were not wearing seatbelts.

If you have heard any info about a man dying in a car on lake and minnehaha on april 10th please post I would like to know his name
