5 Arrested at 46th Street Exit in Richfield Shooting Incident

Richfield and Bloomington police pulled a car over on northbound Interstate-35W at the 46th Street exit and arrested five men as persons of interest in a shooting incident in Richfield around 1 p.m. on Monday.
Officers on patrol on 51st Street West shortly before 1 a.m. cited a 17 year-old walking down the street for being out past curfew.
Police cited one driver on the corner of West 58th Street and Lyndale Avenue South, and another on the 3500 block of Blaisdell Avenue South for driving without proof of insurance early Monday morning.
A CARAG resident was unable to find their car after parking it in the neighborhood Sunday afternoon. They reported it missing, telling officers they had left the keys under the car seat and may have left the car door unlocked
A Windom resident caught a man attempting to break into their vehicle. The suspect fled but was apprehended a short distance later. The man was cited for tampering with a motor vehicle and transported to Hennepin County Medical Center to get his injuries checked out. The police report did not say whether the police, the car’s owner, or a third party caused the injuries.
Sometime between 10 p.m. on Sept. 8 and 3 a.m. on Sept. 9, an unknown person broke into a house on the 5100 block of Zenith Avenue South using a key and stole an unknown number of items.
A CARAG resident called police to report her neighbor’s bike had been stolen from the 3100 block of Grand Avenue South. The thief sliced through the cyclist’s u-lock with an unknown tool around 7 a.m.
A residence on the 3200 block of Grand Avenue South was burglarized overnight.
A driver on the 100 block of 35th Street West was cited for driving without a driver’s license. Another driver on the 100 block of 58th Street West was cited for driving without current insurance.
A 14-year old resident of the 5900 block of Washburn Avenue South was cited for disappearing from home without his parent’s permission. His mother had called police earlier in the day to file a missing person report after the boy had gone out running errands without telling her.
