UPDATED: 2013 Egg Hunts, Bunny Parties at Minneapolis Parks

The Minneapolis Parks and Recreation Departments has a ton of a events scheduled throughout the early spring at area parks.

The following is a list of special spring events happening at Minneapolis parks. The events are listed by date.


Spring Egg Hunt

When: Saturday, March 23 from 10 a.m. to noon

Where: Van Cleve

Details: Egg hunt, face painting, egg baskets, crafts, bounce house, caricatures, refreshments and a visit from Peter Rabbit. All ages. Free.

Tiny Tot Egg Hunt

When: Friday, March 29 from 10-11:30 a.m.

Where: Logan Park

Details: Egg hunt, DJ, face painting, art projects. Ages 1-6, $2.50/family. Please pre-register.

Bunny Brunch and Big Egg Hunt

When: Saturday, March 30 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Where: Sibley

Details: Brunch served until 11. $5/adults $3/kids. Free entertainment by Big Fun Show from 11:15-noon. Egg coloring, scavenger hunt, art, face painting, treats and prizes. Big Egg Hunt following Big Fun Show. Please pre-register.

Minne-Hop-Hop Family Egg Hunt

When: Saturday, March 30 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Where: Minnehaha Falls Park

Details: Crafts, face painting, games, moonwalk, petting zoo, food for sale, a visit by Peter Rabbit, egg hunt at 11am and noon (bring your own basket). All ages. Rain or shine. $2/person.

Egg Hunt and Bunny Party

When: Saturday, March 30 from 10 a.m. to noon

Where: Windom NE.

Details: Adult egg toss contest, children’s egg hunt, treat bags for the first 200 children ages 2-12. All ages. Free.

Spring Fling

When: Saturday, March 30 from 10–11:30 a.m.

Where: Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Park

Details: Egg hunt, prizes, cookie decorating, crafts, entertainment by “Mr. Jim” popular children’s performer, petting zoo and light refreshments while supplies last. All ages: $2/person. Please bring your own basket.

Annual Spring Egg Hunt

When: Saturday, March 30 from 10–11:30 a.m.

Where: Kenwood

Details: Egg hunts for three age levels (2-3, 4-5 and 6-8), a visit from Peter Rabbit, face painting, crafts, coffee and donuts. Free.

Spring Egg Hunt

When: Saturday, March 30 from 10–11:30 a.m.

Where: Whittier

Details: Egg hunt, face painting, and a chance to take photos with the bunny. Free. Please pre-register.

Bunny Party

When: Saturday, March 30 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Where: North Commons

Details: Egg hunt, treats, refreshments, candy and the Easter Bunny. Ages 10 and under. Free.

Preschool Egg Hunt

When: Thursday, April 4 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Where: Pearl

Details: Bunny hop, egg hunt, bounce house, and crafts. Bring your own basket to collect eggs. $2 per child. Please pre-register.

Spring Egg Hunt

When: April 20 from 10–11:30 a.m.

Where: Kenny

Details: Egg hunt at 11 a.m., caricature artists, music, breakfast and light refreshments. $5/child.
