Metro Blooms "Rock for Raingardens" at Fine Line Music Cafe
Metro Blooms’ Rock for Raingardens is back again at the Fine Line Music Café!
Where can you hear great music, dance out some pre-holiday stress, all for a great cause…Metro Blooms’ Rock for Raingardens at the Fine Line Music Café on December 12, at 7:00pm. Three established local bands will hit the stage to benefit Metro Blooms:
- Hypoxic Punks (www.hypoxicpunks.org)
- Wild Cathedral (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HxvkOm7Q6uk)
- Postina (www.postinaband.com)
Tickets are $10 with all proceeds to benefit Metro Blooms.
Event organizer, Mark Pedelty, is pulling together this musical montage for the second time. A longtime supporter of Metro Blooms, Pedelty is a University of Minnesota Journalism/Mass Communications Professor, and just happens to be a member of Hypoxic Punks in his “spare” time. He believes in the importance of the work at Metro Blooms and generously created a documentary piece called “Neighborhood of Raingardens” (http://raingardenmovie.org/Raingarden/Welcome.html) to enlighten the local community on what’s needed to keep our local waters clean.
In addition to the jam session, Metro Blooms will be recognizing their 2012 Landscape Designers for their contributions this past year.
Metro Blooms has been in Minneapolis for almost 30 years with a mission to promote and celebrate gardening, to beautify our communities and help heal and protect our environment.
